Ingredients:
- 5 large ripe avocados (about 700g)
- 1 medium red onion (about 100g), finely chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes (about 150g), diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-2 jalapeño peppers, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1/2 cup (15g) fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cannabis oil (adjust based on desired potency)
- Juice of 2 limes (about 60ml)Optional
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
Preparing the Guacamole:
1. Mash the Avocados:
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a large mixing bowl.
- Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocados to your desired consistency, leaving some chunks for texture if you prefer a chunkier guacamole.
2. Combine Ingredients:
- Add the finely chopped red onion, diced tomatoes, minced garlic, cannabis oil, and chopped jalapeño peppers to the mashed avocados. Stir to combine.
3. Season and Add Lime Juice:
- Add the chopped cilantro, ground cumin, and salt to the mixture, stirring well.
- Squeeze the juice of two limes over the guacamole and stir to combine. Adjust the lime juice to taste.
4. Adjust Seasoning:
- If desired, add ground black pepper to taste and stir to combine.
Serving:
1. Transfer and Garnish:
- Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl. Garnish with additional chopped cilantro or a few slices of jalapeño if desired.
2. Serve Immediately:
- Serve the guacamole with tortilla chips, vegetable sticks, or as a topping for tacos, nachos, or any other favourite dish.
Tips:
- For the best flavour, use ripe avocados that give slightly when pressed.
- If not serving immediately, cover the guacamole with plastic wrap directly on the surface to prevent browning and refrigerate. It’s best consumed within a few hours.
- Adjust the heat level by adding more or fewer jalapeño peppers or by including some of the seeds.
