FAQ’s
Products & Licensing
Q1. How many different products will we be selling?
We expect to offer between 80 to 120 core products across categories such as tonics, teas, oils, capsules, powders, creams and sprays. These includes a mix of traditional remedies, wellness products and SAHPRA-compliant health supplements. Initially we will start with a limited selection to build capacity and test market viability. New products will be introduced pragmatically.
Q2. Who will be allowed to write prescriptions for the products?
Prescriptions for traditional remedies may be written by registered Traditional Health Practitioners. Where a product is classified as a schedule medicine, only licensed medical doctors may issue prescriptions. The ordering system will embed scripts, provided a stock item has been approved in a given region.
Distribution, Logistics & Warehousing
Q3. How will the distribution of products work?
A national distribution system will be managed through head office. Products are delivered directly to Wellness Centres.
Q4. Will warehouses be built across South Africa?
At present, warehousing is outsourced to specialised vendors. Dedicated warehouses may be considered in the future as volumes grow.
Compliance & Quality Control
Q5. How will we prevent sales to people under 18?
All packaging, signage, and software carry age-restriction warnings. Staff will be trained to verify ID’s, and random compliance audits will be enforced. Each Wellness Centre is liable for adherence to these rules under national laws.
Q6. Have the products been tested for safety and effectiveness?
Yes. All products are sourced from SAHPRA-licensed facilities and/or laboratories. Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), stability tests and historical data are available for inspection.
Q7. What about SAHPRA compliance?
Where SAPHRA approval is required, we obtain and maintain documentation. For traditional medicines, we ensure correct labelling and positioning under the wellness framework. Importantly, our website does not present therapeutic claims to the general public.
Entrepreneurship & Retail Integration
Q8. How long is the training for Wellness Centre owners?
Initial training runs 2-4 weeks, followed by 6-112 months of ongoing mentorship, covering business operations, compliance, stock management, and customer care.
Q9. Can existing herbal shops join under the Quantum Spiral/NKK 22C License?
Yes, if they acquire a QS/NKK Wellness Centre License and source products exclusively from Quantum Spiral.
Sales, Support & Marketing
Q10. Will there be a call centre for support?
Yes. An outsourced call centre is being established to support licensees, handle orders, and respond to enquiries. A WhatsApp and Web-based ticketing system will also be integrated.
Payment Acquiring & Risk Management
Q11. Why are nutraceuticals and traditional medicines considered high risk?
They are high risk in direct-to-consumer sales due to chargebacks, health claims, and regulatory ambiguity. Our B2B wholesale model avoids this risk by supplying only licensed Wellness Centres.
Q12. How do you ensure only licensed buyers can access products?
All buyers must submit proof of registration/licensing, company, and tax details. Access to the ordering portal is granted only after manual verification.
Q13. How will you manage chargebacks?
Chargebacks are rare in B2B transactions. We maintain a clear refund and return policy, and accept that acquirers may apply a rolling reserve for additional protection.
Q14. Why pursue card acquiring if EFT is lower risk?
We already support EFT via Ozow and Stitch, but card acquiring offers convenience for smaller, recurring inventory purchases. Many Wellness Centres prefer cards for record-keeping. Using both methods diversifies payment risk.
Q15. Which Merchant Category Code (MCC) applies?
We recommend MCC 5047 – Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies, aligning with our B2B wholesale model. This avoids misclassification under consumer supplement categories.
Q16. Could you shift into consumer-facing sales in the future?
No. Our infrastructure, compliance framework, and customer base are designed for B2B wholesale only. A consumer pivot would require a completely different model, which is not our strategy.
